Kot Addu Power Company Limited (KAPCO) owns, operates and maintains the largest Thermal Power Plant in Pakistan, located at Kot Addu, District Muzaffargarh, Punjab. It has a total capacity of 1600 MW power generation with 15 Power Generating Units of Siemens, GE, Fiat and Alstom design. The Company currently has the following career opening based at Kot Addu, District Muzaffargarh:

Assistant Manager IT

The position will report to Sectional Head IT and be responsible for smooth and uninterrupted operations of computer hardware and software in the organization. He/She will be responsible for installation and configuration of IT network equipments and database access as well as database consistency & integrity. He/She shall maintain IT stores - hardware and software inventory management & tracking. He/She will also perform day-to-day operations on network and system equipment to ensure reliability and will also provide IT technical support to resolve and escalate technical problems as necessary in a timely manner.

The candidate must:

•  Have minimum of Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (BCS) from a recognized university.
• Have minimum 4 years relevant experience in a well reputed organization, preferably those using TELNET, RS-232, DNS, MIME, IMAP & SMTP Protocols;
• Have experience of Windows Server 2003, Exchange Server 2003, ISA 2004, IIS 6;
• Have problem solving skills, ability to prioritize, ability to work under pressure and willing to work off hours as per business needs;
• Be a team player, process oriented and thorough;
• Have excellent interpersonal, communication skills;
• Possess strong leadership qualities and organizational skills;
• Be around 30 years of age.
